=================================================================

1 - Please note that I created this database by working backward from the present. That is, I entered information from the CURRENT Prevue Promo CD's FIRST. So, if you're looking for an older song, it may not be in the db, yet!!
2 - Of Course, you can use the db as a starting point to search your tray cards for the older songs. Obviously, if you don't find what you're looking for in the db, you can "retro-search" your tray cards, beginning with the first tray card not currently "active".
3 - I list some "inactive" tray cards to help me when I'm entering data. So, make sure you find the last tray card that's "active" and that has complete track listings for that CD. If you see a "Tracks for CD 10xxx not in db yet..." statement in the track listings, that particular CD is incomplete and I'm probably still working on it).
4 - If you're searching for a Song that has multiple Artists, you'll get the best results using "Search-3" and enter JUST the Artists names (in any order).
If you're not sure who all is singing (or rapping) on the track, try searching for JUST the lead Artist in the group (if you know who that is).
Next best is to just search for one name at a time. That's especially important if you're not certain of the spelling.
The DB is NOT case sensitive! (It sEEs "db" the sAmE as "DB").
5 - I've tried to cross-reference the Artists & Titles as often as possible. But, sometimes Members will search for a combination of Names and/or Titles that will not produce results. If you have misspellings, that may happen even if the song is actually in the db.
6 - If you're not sure of the spelling, you may need to go to our "Links" page and click on the "AMG" "Rock On The Net" "RRonline" or "Billboard" sites for correct spellings.
7 - Enter name (or partial name) of Artist or song Title in the appropriate field. Use    " f/ " for "featuring" and " w/ " for "with"... And, for very short names (like DMX) try entering "dmx " (that's a space after the name). Then, click "Search". Even if you enter just one letter, it will produce results. (Tip: Best Results are obtained by entering one name at a time. Try entering JUST the Names of multiple Artists...ie: "p. diddy usher loon". Many Artists are cross-referenced that way.)
8 - If you use just one field, you'll get more results. Or, you can also focus your search by using several fields at the same time.
9 - If you're not sure about the spelling or you don't know the entire name of a Song or Artist, enter the info you do know in the appropriate field, then click "Search".
10 - You can enter keywords like "Instrumental" "Patriotic" "Remix" etc. in the "Notes" field. Then, click "Search".
11 - Or, select a CD/Disc#, Date or Month from the Lists, then click "Search".
12 - Use the "Format" field only if you want view results in one specific Music Format...Or, to see all songs in that particular format.
13 - TO SEE ALL SONGS IN OUR DATABASE, CLICK "Clear" THEN "Search".
14 - Lastly... PLEASE BE PATIENT!!! I'm entering track listings daily. But, I also maintain other sites and work full-time on the Radio (2-stations). Eventually, I hope to have information on every Prevue Promo CD in the db. But, data entry takes lots of time to do correctly... So, again, please be patient!!!. Thanks...Pondo

Printing the Prevue Promo Database
09-01-02 update:
This db will "Print Out" on your Ink-Jet Printer, Laser Printer or Dot-Matrix Printer (in Portrait or Landscape view, without the dividing lines).
For ALL songs in the db: Just click "Clear" "Search" to load the entire db. Sort the songs as you prefer by clicking on the appropriate column header. Then print directly from your browser. (Remember to have lots of paper ready!)
Or, select just the data that you need to print....ie: if you only subscribe to (say) the "Urban" format. Then, select format "B" then click "Search". Sort the songs as you prefer by clicking on the appropriate column header. Then print your db from your browser.
REMEMBER: This is a fairly large and complex on-line database. If you have a slow computer, or a slow Internet connection, it's going to take a while to load and/or sort the entire database. I've tried this on several slow computers. And, it may take several minutes (it may even look like it's stalled). But, the database will eventually load/sort...Even on a slow computer with a slow connection. If you don't get an Error Message or a Timed Out Message, just be patient.
Up to date printed copies of this database are available. For pricing or more information, please contact Sam or Pondo.

Prevue Promo Members Only!!
Please, let me know if you have "special needs" for your business.

If you'd like to use the db info in "MS Access" "PC File" or some other PC-based db program, I can give Prevue Promo Members a download of this db in delimited text format. Just give me a shout!! And, as soon as I confirm your ID with Sam, I'll set up an FTP download for you.

If you need to print out in a different sequence (ie: times, bpm, etc...) let me know and I'll set up a "one time" sequence change for one hour, just for you!

If you need copies of past or current Prevue Promo Tray Cards. I can set up an FTP download of what I currently have available in MS-Word .doc format.
