__________
How much does it cost?
__________
How is the product shipped?
Product is shipped to you as a music compilation disc, on High Quality CD-R media. Each CD-R is in an individual "Univenture" Poly Jewelpack Sleeve (w/ binder holes, so the sleeve will fit into a standard 3-ring notebook binder). Each sleeve contains a liner-card with information for every song on the CD. Product is mailed to you via US Postal Service in a sturdy cardboard CD shipping box.
__________
How up-to-date is your music?
We immediately begin compiling the product onto CD's, as soon as we receive it from the Record Companies. Then, we ship the completed compilation CD(s) to you in a timely manner. Premium service ships 2-times per month (or, 24-times a year). Standard service ships once a month. The frequency of service you choose determines when you actually receive the Product,
__________
How many songs are on a Prevue Promo compilation CD?
That varies, due to the length of individual songs. We generally "pack" a CD with as many songs as the disc will hold. Have a look at some recent CD's in our Prevue Promo database. (Pick a "Date" and a "Format" to see how many songs our Members received on the CD's for the date and format you selected.)
__________
Are "Back Issues" available?
Yes! We call them "Recurrent" Discs. Our primary mission is to deliver NEW product, in a timely manner, to our members. However, we feel that serving the needs of our members is also part of our mission. We believe our members are entitled to access to anything in the entire PREVUE PROMO catalog. Therefore, if you see any disc you need, past or present, in your format or not, you can get that disc for $14.95. It may take us a few days to work it into the manufacturing schedule, but we'll get it to you ASAP. Contact Sam: (817) 283-8683
Please note that Prevue promo does not keep any ready-made Back Issues in stock. Back Issue "Recurrent" Compilation CD's must be re-burned from a digital master CD-Image. Re-creating these CD's is not a normal function of our staff. Therefore, creation of Back Issues will have to be worked into our Manufacturing Schedule. But, we'll generally get them out in a day or so from when you make your request
__________
Why Do You Have Misspellings In The Database?
The "short" answer:
To Make it easier to search for stuff!...Just in case people can't spell.
The "long" answer:
From time to time, you may find some strange misspellings in our Database. Some of the product contains Artists Names and Song Titles that are intentionally misspelled. This is the choice of the Artist or the Songwriter. So, we just copy what they send us. For example, the Artist, "Fabolous" intentionally has misspelled the word, "Fabulous" and used it as a name.
In the case of intentionally misspelled names and titles, we have made an effort to include the correctly spelled word to facilitate more accurate searches. The first spelling (in Caps, and reading from left to right) is the spelling that is provided by the Record Companies. Words that appear in parentheses, and in lower case, are the most probable correct spelling of the Artist or Title. This is merely a "best guess" on our part.
Sometimes, names and titles ARE correctly spelled. But, Members who are searching may not be sure of the "proper" spelling. In those cases, we've included some of the most popular "misspellings" to help find the track, anyway. Many of the misspellings are phonetic sounds of the actual word. For example, the word "Deejay" could be searched for as "DJ" or "D.J." and still produce results. Once again, this is just a "best guess" on our part.
__________
How can I get Prevue Promo to put the music I make (or, my Band or Company makes) on Prevue Promo CD's?
You (or your Company) must be the legal owner of the music and/or have the legal right(s) to distribute it. Then, Contact Sam Atchley by E-Mail, Fax, Snail Mail or Land-Line (telephone). Sam will give you some paperwork to complete, and confirm the information you provide to him. If everything checks out, Sam will advise you where to send your Music Product for inclusion on future Prevue Promo CD's.
__________
What do you mean by "Wireless Internet Friendly"?
We've actually TESTED our pages in several "Real World" wireless environments. We set-up several computers to constantly run multiple firewalls (including ZONE ALARM PRO) and Anti-Annoyance Software (including AdSubtractPro V.2x & V.3x). Processor speeds range from a P1-233mmx to a P4-3.02. We connect to the Internet using several methods and variations (including IEEE 802.11a,b,g). We then observe how quickly and accurately they load and if there are any glitches. We tweak our pages until everything loads fast and smooth. That's why we can say, "We're Wireless Internet Friendly".
